It would indeed be quite good for gaming. It depends upon the price you'll be getting it for or if you already have it. If you will be gaming at 1080p it may last for a good 4 years into the future, keeping in mind that in terms of hardware games currently require faster graphics cards more often than they do faster CPUs. Even old gaming CPUs are plentiful oftentimes for some games as long as the graphics adapters are good enough.r5 4500 is it any good for gaming ?

check out there is a ryzen 5600x 3d on the market now
it's too expensive for my budget. I'm looking at CPUs up to €115check out there is a ryzen 5600x 3d on the market now
MicrocenterThat is exclusive to Micro Center, so far as I am aware.
If you are looking at the 4500, check prices on the 5500, as well as the 3600. The 36 and 55 are very nearly identical in performance. Microcenter has a couple of nice deals going right now on CPU + mobo combos. You can pick up an A520 and a 3600 for less than $130 right now. A B450 and 5600X for ~$185 (that does need a BIOS update).
edit- IIRC GoldGlitch is in Europe?
Are you building a new computer or just upgrading the CPU?Microcenter
there is none in my country
there is everything. I just don't have a CPU, so I'm looking at some
I'm upgrading my old PC (build a new one I have everything except the CPU) mbo b450 2x16gb ram 500w psu gtx 1070ti.Are you building a new computer or just upgrading the CPU?
What are the complete system specs?
In terms of the CPU there's not really a game the R5 4500 can't run successfully. How long it will offer acceptable performance is difficult to determine because it really depends on what you want to use it for.
I would have said the Ryzen 5 5600 was better value as that's a similar price to the 4500. That may not be the case in your country though.
The Ryzen 5 4500 then would be a reasonable pairing for the build above. The Ryzen 5 3600 would be a better choice if it's still available. The only thing to be conscious of, you may need a bios update to work with a Zen 2 (3000 and 4000) or later CPU. You should be able to find that out though from the manufacturers website for your board.I'm upgrading my old PC (build a new one I have everything except the CPU) mbo b450 2x16gb ram 500w psu gtx 1070ti.
so I'm looking for a cpu
