R600 is fabbed on 80nm, AGP parts coming

You'd have to be daft to put something like this in an AGP slot. Luckily for AMD, there's plenty of idiots out there that will buy it no matter what.

well actually, there are quite a few boards that run pretty decent processors (fx-60s/62s) and have agp slots, sure, the bandwidth may limit them, but not enough to discourage the performance increase.

Bandwidth wise a medium range r600 should not be a challenge for agp 8x, I doubt that there will be a high end card for agp.

If there would have been a 8800gtx for agp there could be bandwidth issues but hardly with a 8800gts.

Just because I didn't have the money for Pci-e doesn't meant I'm an idiot...
so .. hmm. *coughs*
you have money for a R600 series card wich will be for sure over 300 US, but not for a mobo upgrade that costs less than 150 US? rofl...

I'm not gonna buy an R600 but I only have an AGP slot so what am I to do? If I do update the whole system I won't have as much to spend on a GPU. Basically I'll see what'll be the best bang for my buck when the time comes. And there'll have to be benchies for me to be able to compare so I'll just sit back and wait this thing out...
