r7 240 crossfiring

i am planning to buy a r7 240 ddr5 1gb or a gt 640 2 gb ddr3

can i get r7 240 ddr5 1gb after 2-3 years later so that i can crossfire it because it requires less power supply and can be easily used
but gt 640 2 gb ddr3 cannot be easily crossfired
please help can i get the 1st card later 2-3 years later

Well the 240 isn't really all that great of a gaming card at the moment so it would be good to evaluate your options at your budget. Anyway if all you can get is the 240 then between 1-2yrs it may still make sense to get a second one to crossfire and increase your performance. Just don't be expecting miracles. Outside of 2 yrs or perhaps even before that 240s will not be as easy to find for a cheap enough price and it will make sense to just go with a single card for the same price which will likely out perform a pair of 240s in crossfire.
