i have a gtx 260 and i want to get a dx11 card since dx 10 became outdated april this year
the only gpus available for me are the r7 240 and the r7 250

i don't really care if the performance is slightly under or over or just the same (5 fps gain or drop)

ONLY READ IF YOU WANT TO KNOW WHY ONLY THE R7 240 AND 250 ARE AVAILABLE TO ME!!!!!

if you are wondering why i only have those 2 cards available to me it's just that i'm 15, my dad doesn't let me get a new gpu (with my own money) i'd ask my uncle to order it but he'll never do it (i have enough money for a 770 but my uncle will never order it i mean i asked him to order it but he didn't and he got himself a 780 about 3 months later. but in school they have a reward system which basically lets me buy stuff from a store which has overpriced hardware on it, if i keep at it for another 2 months i should be able to get a r7 250 but if the store wasn't overpriced i could get a 750 ti in about 3 months but it'll take a year with the price the actually have)

the r7 250 is much better than the current gtx260 which is quite old and is of the nvidia 200 series. The r7 250 will be the much better choice since dx11 is also pleasant which gives and added boost to games and games like crysis 3 can only run on dx11. Hope i helped. :)
