r7 265 power requirements

hey all my friends been nagging me about the r7 265 since i need an upgrade for my graphics card and i was wondering if itll run with a psu of 425 watts i have connectors so its not a problem i wanted to know because i am more familiar with the radeon series then anything else like the gtx and i was wondering if my psu could handle it

you need 20A atleast on your 12V line. So if you have that on your PSU, you are good to go.

The site recommends a 500W PSU if you are going to upgrade.

i use a L425P-00 425 watt psu im not really handy in the power department so is this enough?

That's a dual rail PSU. one rail can give 18A only. Combined it can give 36A. But the 265 has only one 6pin connector and it'll need 20As.So no way of combining the rails to power the GPU. So I suggest you upgrade the PSU.
