Question r7 2700 vs r7 2700X

Well, it really depends on what you want to do.

If it's for just gaming, then the R2600x with the slightly higher boost may yield a few FPS more in one game or another. The 2600x will be cheaper and as good as the 2700 in general gaming terms and in most other instances too, except for very particular software which can use the extra 2 cores/4 threads of the 2700.

The 2600x will work just fine with your RTX2060 as would the 2700.

If cost is a factor, get the cheaper CPU, it's a great gamer/streamer, and will do anything you want it to do right now.

The differnece between both in my country is really small . Its like 25$ only . I will use it only for gaming . Idont stream and multitask while gaming . I will upgrade only to stop the bottleneck my current cpu is causing to my rtx 2060.

After thinking about it iam now thinking only about the 2700 or the 2700x . I only game at 60 hz 1080P Rtx 2060. Is it worth breaking the bank for the X version or the non x will be enough

I currently have enough budget for the 2700 with a great aorus mobo . But if i go for the 2700x i would have to pay extra and be tight on budget so is it worth the extra bucks?

I'd go 2700 because more core/threads are the future. If they were not the future, we would still be using single core cpu's.
As for the speed difference, that will be less than 10% in real FPS on most games.

NON X version - you can OC if you want - it's very simple to do from BIOS.
Don't be scared of OCing, just don't be stupid with it.
eg 10% OC is very easy on any AMD CPU

Everyone has made good points. Id go for the 2700 even if you didn't overclock. Between 2600x vs 2700 would see at best 3~5fps.

If you haven't bought the motherboard yet, Im wondering if budget can stretch a little and being so close to zen2 launch, why not wait?

Won't go wrong with your current plans of course but if thinking of the future, zen2 is looking very promising and won't be that much more expensive.

My currebt cpu is trash i cant play most of my games without a stutter and fps drops and the usage stays on 100% . Plus new hardware takes time to get shipped to my country so it will be hard to wait . I guess iam going with the 2700 with base speed

Nothing wrong with that.

Fast ram will also benefit. Ryzen's internal infinity fabric between the cores depend on fast ram for performance, 3000~3200mhz is the sweet spot. Dual channel also helps a lot and 16GB is recommended nowadays so shoot for 2x 8GB.
