[SOLVED] R7 2700x vs R7 3700x

Just looking for opinions on which would be better to pair with my rtx2060. I ran some tests with two different sites but it just confused me. I will link them.
GPUChecker Rtx 2060 With 3700x
GPUChecker Rtx 2060 With 2700x
Bottleneck Rtx 2060 With 3700x
Bottleneck Rtx 2060 With 2700x

As you can see with GPUChecker it says the 3700x combo has an overall score of 87/100 but the bottleneck calculator says they would be terrible together. What can you guys make of it? Please keep in mind I am a bit of PC builder novice so please go easy on me

MY CURRENT PC SPECS:
CASE-Corsair Carbide Series SPEC-02 Mid Tower
CPU-Intel Core i5 4590
RAM-16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3
MOTHERBOARD- MSI Z97 PC Mate(MS-7850)
GPU- RTX 2060
PSU:EVGA 600 B1

MAIN USE- Hardcore Gaming and Casual Streaming.

Also keep in mind I will be upgrading my MOBO, RAM, and Case along with CPU, so if you have any recommendations on a good MOBO to go with the specific CPU feel free to include that as well. Any thoughts and opinions would be greatly appreciated!

never use a bottleneck calculator. they're snake oil. the 3700x is for sure better. there is no such thing as a cpu being too powerful for the gpu, ONLY the opposite (cpu being too weak for the gpu)

Its for sure better with my 2060 or just a better cpu? Not trying to sound condescending just trying to clarify

since they're both powerful processors, there is no bottleneck anyways so you won't see much of an increase in fps (you'll still see some), but 3700x is much better and your graphics rendering will be much faster

Gotcha. Thank you for the info. Would you happen to have MOBO recommendation to go along with the 3700k?

i currently use the msi b450 pro m2-max. it only has 2 dimm slots, but if you're into 4 dimm slots,
msi b450 tomahawk max would be a GREAT recommendation. both of them support both of your cpu's. they're great motherboards.

Sorry to keep asking questions but if I planned on upgrading to 32gb of RAM(16x2), is 2 or 4 dimm slots better? Or it doesnt matter?

2x16 will be faster and give you more room to upgrade in the future if you want 64gb of ram. If aesthetics are your priority, corsair sells filler RAM sticks that have no purpose besides RGB so 4 rgb modules would look great. if you dont plan upgrading in the future and dont care about aesthetics, buy the b450 pro m2 max because it would only look worse having only 2 ram modules on a 4 dimm mo/bo
