R9 270 Compatibility

Hello i have a R9 270 that i have been using in my new PC so i took it out to put in my brothers HP Pavilion 2nd Gen Intel with a Legacy Bios. Now i had bought a 1050 GTX for the HP but it wont go past splash screen so i put it in mine without an issue. Now when i try the R9 270 in the HP it won't post at all i think its the PSU being only 400Watts But i wanted to make sure that i wasn't missing something like it won't work with that PC at all.(HP has i-3 2130 now so bottlenecking shouldnt be nearly as bad) http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=emr_na-c02888493 that is the HP PC. Pre-builts are notorious for BIOS's not supporting upgraded GPUs.

The only way to rule that out is to fine out whether anybody else has successfully run the pairing.... I can't find anything.
