I recently bought a R9 270 from eBay. I know, it's probably a stupid thing to do as you never know what you're going to get and this seems like it may be a problem I'm facing.
I used the detection tool on the AMD site to download the latest drivers and the card is being detected as a 8xxx series.
I ignored this and downloaded the drivers for the R9 2xx series and now if I go to dxdiag it is telling me that I have an R9 2xx series. I'm worried that the drivers I downloaded might be tricking my computer and I may have been mis-sold a card.
Is there any way I can be sure what card I have? Unfortunately I cannot use benchmarks at the moment as this is the first part of my upgrade and the CPU i'm running is a Core 2 Duo that will be significantly bottlenecking the GPU performance.
