R9 270 Upgrade to 290 , FX-6300 Bottleneck?

I am going to upgrade my GPU, I can afford up to an R9 290 but I cannot upgrade my CPU, so will it be a bottleneck? It's overclocked to 4.5Ghz and has a hyper 212 EVO. Also, should I get the ASUS R9 290 or Gigabyte?
