R9 270 vs 7870

Solution

it will..

But if i were you, i'll get an 270 version..and i'll overclock it by myself..

270x version is a 270 with 100Mhz faster at gpu core..that's all..
They are equal, pretty much similar specs, and that processor might be a hinderance to running them in crossfire. this guy had similar question about a pair of 7850's, and it was suggested to him to run at least a 2500k or 3570k, or non k piece. http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/347431-31-will-2120-bottleneck-7850s-crossfire

Good luck, hoped this help! I also plan on getting an R9 270 due to lower price than my 7870 on newegg.

well, R270 is a 7870 with slightly underclock at gpu core, but overclocked memory..

then R270x is an overclocked version of 7870 for both gpu core and memory speed..

well, i3 series is a good budget cpu gaming..
it'll just a little bit bottleneck it. but still you'll gain around 90% of true performance of that card..

still a worth upgrade..

So the 270X will work with the cpu? Or will i need to get the 270
