I've had the MSI R9 270x ITX graphics card for about three months and it's been working fine. But, after I put it into sleep for the night, the display wasn't showing up. The fans on the graphics card are working, but no display. I tried a different VGA cord (it might be the VGA-DVI adapter), but that didn't work. Please help, I've tried everything that I could. I'm a first time builder with a really small budget. It took me about 10 months to save up for this computer.

Thanks for your time,
David

Specs:

MSI R9 270x ITX

Windows 8.1

Did you try unplugging the GPU and test if the Integrated GPU works?
Does the computer POST? Do you hear any beeps from the integrated speaker?

We should try isolating the problem, its not always the GPU that is malfunctioning.

I just tried unplugging the graphics card, and that didn't work. Sadly, my motherboard did not come with a speaker, so I don't know about that. My computer does turn on.

Thanks for the answer,
David

Reset the BIOS first, If you "Disabled" your Integrated GPU, it won't activate by itself.
Plug your screen to the motherboard, reset the BIOS then check if you can see the computer booting.

Also, to check if your computer is booting up without any display, the Hard Drive LED indicator should be flashing during the windows loading.

I tried that, and nothing new. There was no display. After I tried a new monitor, it didn't work as well. I tried both of the displays. Now, it's doing this weird booting thing. It turns on and off constantly. Is it my motherboard or my power supply? EVGA is a really trusted brand. Sorry if I'm talking about it in the wrong thread

Thanks,
David

I think I'm going to make a new thread on the motherboard side, because I'm pretty sure it's the motherboard. It wouldn't boot up if the CPU was broken. Thanks for all of the support. Sorry if I've been desprate!

Thanks,
David
