hello, I have one question for you. I have recently bought a new PC which contains Gigabyte H61M-S2P motherboard, i3-2120 3.3 GHz processor, XFX AMD Radeon r9 270x gpu, 6 GB 1333 MHz RAM.......My PSU is Corsair VS 650. my question is.....can I overclock my gpu to increase fps(10-15) for the games like Watch Dogs, Assasin's Creed Unity (upcoming bt need to think 'bout the future)......etc high end games???? thanks in advance.

Download MSI Afterburner and increase one value a little bit at a time. Let's say you start with the GPU clock, increase it 10mhz in MSI Afterburner (I personally use Sapphire Tri XX) and then apply it and check in GPU-Z that it has actually been applied. The best stress tester I have found is Unigine Valley coupled with 3D Mark and any intensive game you have. Just run the Unigine Valley benchmark (F9) and if it passes without anything bad happening to it then increase the GPU clock more. After you have found highest stable value, revert GPU clock back to default and increase the memory clock. After the highest value for that has been found, work on combining the two. Don't increase voltage if you don't know what you're doing...
Yes you can overclock.

Your performance increase cannot be said for sure though. I'd say at best you are looking at 10fps if it does an amazing job, but most likely less, but still an improvement.

For Watch Dogs you shouldn't expect any real increase as its probably the most CPU intense game made. So your CPU is likely whats holding you back in that one.

no no....M4DCRUSH3R, I have only one external cooler master 120mm fan....as my psu offers 4 molex connectors...one for hard disk, one for dvd drive, one for fan and one kept extra

Additionally to possibly overclock further, set the power limit to +20% in the Catalyst Control Centre.
