r9 270x problem

Hi everone! I've just buyed my R9 270x and put it on my p8z68 board in the blue slot, collegated it to my cooler master bronze 750W PSU and turned on the pc. I've installed the drivers and all went ok, but when the sistem rebooted the screen was... resized! I've looked at the resolutions, but it was still at 1920*1080... I've tryed many configuration hz-res and I obtain full screen only with 1600*900, even if my samsung monitor is 1080p. Does anyone know why? Thank you all!

I'm sorry your life is over. You need to go buy a new graphics card because you let it get an ESD by placing it in the blue slot. You should have held the side of the case while touching important parts to protect them from ESD problems. If you want, you can send me either a few pics or the GPU itself and I'll see if I can fix it for you.

i also have this problem with my samsung monitor as well. but not with HDMI

Are there black bars around all the edges? If so, go into Catalyst Control Center and go to the digital panel options and looks for "Overscan". Turn that all the way up.
