r9 270x sapphire upgrade from 7850 hd 3 monitor system issues hdmi port has frame around background

I upgraded had eyefinity working great on my other card using a active display to dvi converter hdmi cable and a dvi cable now with the new card same set up but the monitor plugged in to the hdmi port on the card has a big black frame around it like the display isn't big enough to cover the screen any way to fix this or am I just screwed or is there a way to run three monitors without using the hdmi port ?

Go to catalyst control center. And enable the gpu scaling fot that monitor.
