r9 270x vs r9 280x

Is it worth spending the extra money to get the r9 280x over the 270x? Is there going to be a noticeable difference when playing games on high or ultra?

Depending on your budget the r9 280x would be the best choice since it will allow you to play pretty much every game at ultra settings

Based off of benchmarks HERE the 280x is close to the performance of that of the GTX 760 while the 270x will basically give a little more performance than the GTX 660 (non ti)

2560x1440, ULTRA, AA
R9 270x - 33fps
R9 280x - 44fps

Tomb Raider
2560x1440, ULTRA, AA
R9 270x - 39fps
R9 280x - 58fps

Crysis 3
2560x1440, V-HIGH, AA
R9 270x - 20fps
R9 280x - 29fps

Hitman Absolution
2560x1440, HIGH, 2AA
R9 270x - 34fps
R9 280x - 48fps

R9-280x will be faster than R9-270x. Also with the R80x it's more powerful so you may keep it for longer as it can probably run more newer games later on compare to a R270x
