R9 270x windforce oc 2gb getting low fps in most games

Farcry 3 no matter what seeting i put it i get 30 fps and lower. My cpu is a fx-8120 @3.1ghz stock cooler. asus motherboard m5a97 pro and i dont no what the problem is can you help.

FC3 is easy to run. I can max it on a 3570k and a single gtx760.

Your CPU could be the issue. The FX x1xx CPUs are pretty bad.

I stay locked at 60fps in FC3. Don't know why you are getting spikes all the time. Weird. Oh well. Many games just work like that sometimes.

The 3570k really is not any weaker than the 4690k. I was also at 4.5ghz at the time of playing. I recent changed boards and had to back off my overclock.

And yeah it is probably because my gtx760 is ALOT more powerful than a 7850.

use msi afterburner and report back gpu load and cpu load in game. Than we see

my gpu is on 1100 gpu clock and 1500mem clock while playing a game

gpu load and cpu load is shown in %. ideal in game gpu load should be between 91-99 % and cpu depends... Just give us the numbers and we can see if u have possible cpu bottleneck (if u don t know how, go to youtube and watch a tutorial, than report back)

could be bad driver installation or your cpu getting hot. Stock coolers on ANY cpu suck and for gaming are NOT recommended.

Could indeed be the cpu getting to hot , please remove that stock cooler if you want to game , those things are not made for gaming. there are alot of cheap cpu coolers that will keep temperatures on safe and normal levels. Also if your psu is not powerfull enough this could start giving issues to your performance.

my psu is 750 and im going to get a cpu from my friend to see if thats the problem ill comment when i get it
