R9 280 3gb vs R9 380 2gb?

Each card is around the same price, but which card will be better for 1080p gaming (I mostly want it for DOOM)

Yeah, I actually just ended up buying the MSI R9 380 4G, so DOOM at 1080p should no longer be a problem for me

The 280 was a rebadged HD7970. You did the right thing.
