R9 280 lag on bf3

Hello, i started playing bf3 again today on my pc which i havent done since i had my new gpu, playing is unbearable because of how much lag there is. Does anyone know why my new graphics card lags even though my HD-7770 didnt lag.

EDIT - Also when i had my 7770 i also had an fx-4300 and now i have an fx-6300

Yes, i removed my old graphics card drivers and installed new drivers for the R9 280

To be honest you Internet connection speed and quality has allot to do with online mutiplayer performance.

my ping rarely goes above 30 and it is just as laggy on campaign

whats the CPU usage and GPU usage?

On msi afterburner it shows the usage jumping very quickly from 0-100% whilst on bf3

Ya then in that case it's an issue on the hardware or software level. I recommend doing a Virus and Malware scan and uninstalling and reinstalling all drivers. If that does not work then do a clean reinstall of Windows and if by this time you are still having issues than something is janked up with your hardware.

i dont think i have a virus, im a bit of a freak when it comes to doing scans - every time i boot my pc and before i shut down i do scans also i dont pirate anything or even watch p*rn on my pc.

i have the latest amd driver, shall i get the omega one instead ?
