This is truly a hypothetical question, but curious. Would you guys rather get an R9 290 (Sapphire Tri-X OC) or an R9 280 (Gigabyte Windforce OC) with an SSD?

With the 290, the build comes out to about $838; with the 280, about $811.

Rest of build:
I5 4440
GA-B85N-Phoenix (WiFi)
8GB (2x4GB) G.Skill Ares DDR3 1600
WD Caviar Blue 1TB 7200RPM HDD
Rosewill Redbone case
EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 750W PSU

EDIT: I should probably mention that the original prices were calculated using variable cases and PSUs, depending on whether I got the 280 or the 290.

another vote for the 290...the ssd can easily wait and you can find them pretty cheap. If you buy the 280 and then later decide to get the 290 you will have to sell the 280 at a loss and still pay out for the ssd

ssd adds no fps.

The 290 does.

Get the ssd later.
