R9 280 vs GTX 760

Hi everyone

The asus R9 280 3gb is avaliable for only 345$ where I live, so only 45$ more dollars than the GTX 760. But I've never heard of this graphic card. Is the r9 280 a good deal for this price? I can try to overclock it, but It will be my first time. Also note that I will ne making a SLI setup in a year.

they are really close for the price i would go with the cheaper option unless you are wanting to go multi monitor then you will want the more vram

Someone told me that it could beat a r9 280x if overclocked. Is it true?

yes i have two hd 7950's (280) and overclocked they can beat a stock 7970ghz( 280x) but every card is different

the 7950(280) is a great card basically in laymans terms it will blow the doors off a ps4 but in terms of pc its a high quality card
