Common issue with new AMD cards, return it asap. It's your only option, unfortunately.
That would be wrong, but not surprising coming from someone with an nVidiot card in their sig.
Start a trouble ticket with your OEM. The OEM may have a BIOS update or other patch to fix whatever issues you have encountered. Be as specific as possible with them in your descriptions of the problem.
It should not cause any long-term issues for you unless it is a symptom of another problem with the card. By starting the trouble ticket you should not have any problems if a warranty return is required in the future.
