R9 280x crossfire to 290?

I am new to the crossfire field. Am I able to crossfire one R9 280x card to another R9 290 card? If so, how can I do it, using the bridge connector provided? Thanks

No. You can crossfire a 280x to another 280x or a 7970.

Basically you have to have the same chip type. Tahiti to Tahiti, Hawaii to Hawaii.
