r9 280x for cheap, worth it?

Hello,
So I browsed for some gpus in my country to buy, and I am on quite a budget, but I've noticed a 3gb 3x windforce r9 280x for relatively cheap, only $159 and keep in mind we pay extra $50-70 extra than normal prices here for technology.

The question is, is it a viable upgrade from my gtx 660, or, is it worth to add extra $22 for the cheapest gtx 1050 Ti, which is Gainward's.

I must say its very tempting, also the r9 280x is the gigabyte version which comes with 3 fans, sounds quite promising to be honest.

Now a 1060 would be a real upgrade if you can swing it.

The R9-280X is a nice upgrade. And should be a bit better than the GTX 1050 Ti:
