R9 280x graphics no display

Okay so I have a MSI r9 280x and a gigabyte z97 gaming 5 mobo with a 550W psu
And up until a few days ago my graphics card was working fine, and now it has just up and stopped working.
It's not even being found in device manager.

I have done the classic things of checking its seated properly, ensured that the power cables are plugged in, uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers, disabled the onboard graphics as well as setting the preference of PCI slot in the bios and still nothing.
I have hardly ever OC the card and its temps on load generally were around the 75 degrees mark.
The fans still spin so I don't think it might be the actual card maybe the PCI slot? Is there any way to determine that?
Sadly I can't even try it in another PCI slot as the card is just too big to sit in, I also don't have another pc handy to try it in.
Is it maybe with putting in an old wireless card into the PCI slot just to see if it detects it?

Any help would be great!

is your motherboard doing some beeps/flashes?

and no a major problem but isnt the recommended PSu a 600w one for your card ( i know it consumes less)

and does the display work on your igpu?

Try disconnect the AMD GPU and boot the system with the Onboard GPU. After it boots , put the screen resolution to something safe like 800X600. Then reinstall the 280x and try booting up.

No there's no beeping or anything of any kinda.
the minimum I think is 550W and even if it was 600, it was still working previously to this last week.
Yeah the normal internal graphics works fine...

So I tried that and sadly it made no difference, I can install the drivers from this disk but it still doesn't come up in device manager.

try resetting your bios by taking out the battery for 15min

i dont thik it is a slot problem as you can get the gpus fans to rotate

I've done that and it's not made any difference. It's really annoying as I haven't bashed it or anything so I can't see how it would get damaged enough to stop working!
