R9 280X - no crossfire options

Hi All,

Having problems setting up crossfire. Been looking through forums but no solutions yet.
I have a Sapphire 4GB R9 280X and a MSi 3GB R9 280X Twin Frozr.

I have done clean installs of drivers and software. Swapped cards over PCIE16X lanes.
Disabling and enabling.
Connect bridge both ways round
No settings in BIOS that relate to crossfire.

There are no options showing in Radeon nor in Catalyst Interfaces to enable cross fire.
My MSi is showing 'Primary'' and Sapphire showing as 'Disabled'.
However both operate normally when plugged into monitor and controllable from Radeon software

There is no such thing as a 4gb 280x. There are no 4gb gpus that can cf with a 280x so the gpu is the problem. All tahiti gpus are either 2, 3 or 6gb. You can look up the specs in gpuz and find out what gpu it really is.

Theres nothing wrong with the GPU's. both are detected by Device manager. both work when plugged into monitor. even simultaneously.

That is a 270x. I can tell from the bios part number.

It doesn't need to be the same model, just the same family: tahiti. But no a 270x and 280x cannot cf hence why you can't find the option.
