my issues is this. Altough the sytem works precfectly fine without issues, when i put my gpu in and try boot i get the motherboard screen then black screen after that. The pc remains on but nothing shows up.
any advice?
also i get error 99 on the motherboard before the lights go out.

Check th manual but I think a 99 means an unrecognized device caused the system not to boot.

There's likely 1 of 3 issues:

1). You don't have the power properly connected to the card.

2). The card isn't fully seated in the slot (in which case you didn't flip the PCIe security lock and probably didn't screw it down, both of which require a forehead slap).

3). The card is bad. Return it and get a 7950 or 70 that don't have these issues and have the exact same GPU.

I used all kinds of connectors, i used the PSU supplied PCIe ones, i also used their ones that convert IED to 6 and 8pins and still didn't work.

the only thing i can think of is that the Sata 3 Connectors do not allow my gpu to get placed into the slot properly as the end of mu gpu is extended over them. However when i place it, i do hear the click very well..

Just as I noted above. The card isn't seated properly. If you can't lock the PCIe slot slider and screw the card in place, then the card may not have proper contact in the slot. If the SATA connectors are in the way, then your card must sit pretty low or you've installed it wrong. I've never run into this.
