r9 280x or GTX 960 4GB or msi GTX 960 GAMING 4G ???

Solution
The R9 280x is faster in games even if it has 3GB.
The reference 960 only has 2GB and even if there is a 4GB model it's memory bus is only 128bit, not enough to use the 4GB to their full potential.
Overall the 280x should be a bit faster, so if power consumption is not a problem it is the better choice.
That PSU is enough for the 280x by the way.

how it is powerfull and the r9 is 3072 MB Size
and the gtx is4096 MB ?

Corsair CX Series 850 Watt

the GTX960 wont use that 4GB buffer unless u SLI it it will run out of horse power before it uses it

the who said the R9 280X is Hot and power hungry specially the new XTL chips they are more efficient than the Tahiti XT chips in the first 7970 and are clocked higher

also that Card is kinda overpriced for a r9 280X u could get a R9 290 for that price

if it has to be from amazon i would get either the best R9 280X that can Super quite if u enable the smart fan mode and set the single middle fan at lowest possible the card temps wont even brake 55C lol http://www.amazon.com/Sapphire-VAPOR-X-PCI-Express-Graphics-11221-20-20G/dp/B00RXA5G5O/ref=sr_1_3?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1432210206&sr=1-3&keywords=R9+280X

or u could go with the cheaper a bit more noisy but runs fairly cool http://www.amazon.com/XFX-RADEON-1000MHz-Graphics-R9-280X-TDFD/dp/B00FSC5N66/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1432210206&sr=1-1&keywords=R9+280X

the R9 280X vapor-x comes at 230usd at newegg with MIR btw but i wouldint go with the vapor-x unless he plans on Overclocking which i would do with a vapor-x card

Solution
it is enough for 2 way Crossfire even (6+8 or 6+6pin cards that is) some 8+8 pin cards like the R9 280X matrix are Allowed To suck 375watts (maximum u could pull with 8+8 pin config AFAIK but this is for Overclocking purposes a Normal Card shouldn't suck more than 185watts AVG)

Honestly he should not get the second or third one listed at all. For one, he will NOT utilize the 4GB on those cards unless he is running multiple monitors or playing heavily modded games such as Skyrim.

He should consider this: http://amzn.to/1HvH4OF - EVGA 960 SuperSC ACX 2.0+ 2GB - This card will let him play most, if not all, games at 1080p resolution at 60fps.

I honestly would go for the card I listed as he not only saves money from what he originally listed, but can also do what I mentioned before. If he is set on those three, I say go first the first one listed, the 280X 3GB.
