R9 280x overheat no signal and keeps minimizing itself

soooo here is my problems

I played crysis 2 and it seems that my pc is overheating.. suddenly my fan speed increases by themself and no signal appears on my screen.. i dont know why but i think its the gpu. the second problem is everytime i play crysis 2 it keeps minimizing, i closed all programs which is not from windows but it keeps minimizing by itself.. what is wrong?

my specs:
i5 4670k
gigabyte z87 ud3h
gigabyte r9 280x
corsair 650 watt
8gb corsair vengeance
and asus LCD which is still using a dvi cable

you must have bad airflow, maybe thats why

well the overheat problem is gone now but why is my cryis 2 minimizing by itself?
