R9 280x vs gtx 770

so im almost done with my build and im trying to think of what card to get now, its a tie between the r9 280x and a 770. the 770 is a great card but from what i hear the r9 280x performs on par with the 770 when overclocked, should i dothe r9 280x? i think its a good idea since its almost future proofing a little with the mantle coming out and since amd has hit it off so well with sony and microsoft a lot of good games are gunna have amds support and might run better so im leaning toward the 280x.

If you are going to play games that will be using Mantle (Bf4, there is a list somewhere) then get the AMD. its also around the same price to crossfire two 280x then get one 290x and get better performance just a tip for future.

I would go with the 770, it uses less power and produces less heat.

Well i think the heat thibg is just based on the cooler, i would get yhe asus directCU2 for the 280x, which is supposedly really good, and im not concerned with power i have a corsair hx 850w power supply to power this stuff

cons: r9 280x is more hotter and noisier ...pros: 280x is 20-30$ cheaper
