Well yes. 280X is around GTX770 performance and really capable handling 1080p resolution High settings and even some AA while 285 and GTX960 are not due lack of Vram and raw GPU power.
285 is the best among those. Can't say anything about future games without having a clue what will come.

Thats how it works since 2010, almost all new Versions of a GFX-Card are slower than the previous one. The only exceptions are highend GFX-Cards.
