R9 280x vs r9 285

I have been watching reviews on you tube and all they have been doing is mixing me up. Witch card is better? One review gives x frames vs y and then the next give the opposite.

The r9 280x is the more powerful card

R9 285 is newer based on GCN 1.2 and in some games can be faster example Witcher 3 1080P but in most older R9 280X based on GCN 1.0 is faster.
