Hello, since i've got around 550$ on my pocket right now i'm planning on buying the R9 290 Aftermarket Coolers, now what manufacturer have confirmed the third party cooler? As i know its Asus,Gigabyte and Sapphire. Since i live in Indonesia Asus will be very expensive when it gets here so a no for Asus. I would also want to know if HIS would make an aftermarket coolers cause i kinda like them. But if Sapphire is cheaper than HIS i would get Sapphire. HIS and Sapphire GPU isn't pricey at all when it comes to Indonesia so i'm eyeing toward them. Currently the Sapphire GPU in a local store is 5,2 mil IDR or approx. 420$. HIS is almost the same though, but if the aftermarket coolers came out will it increase heavily? If it stays max 500$ i would buy the aftermarket coolers or should i get the R9 290 currently and get a GPU cooler?

Solution
I'd expect the aftermarket 290x cards to run upwards of $600USD+ as MSRP, but as far as what they will actually cost is anyone's guess. Some places have the reference 290x listed at $600USD already. Is Gigabyte available in your area? I've always had good success with them.

I'm running a reference 290x from Gigabyte and having good success. The card reaches 94'C as advertised, and maintains around 980-990mhz core speed on average. I'm extremely happy with the card, I game with headphones and don't notice the fan speed. I'll also be moving to water-cooling sometime in the new year

Every card is probably available in my area with the price only slightly pricey than the original one, like 10-30$ except for Asus, it could go up to 60-100$. There is no R9 290 Gigabyte in my country it only have the 290X which is around 700$ in the reference cooler but everything else seems normal not much huge loops on price
