OUCH ! That's a pretty HIGH temp.....Are the GPU fans spinning ? Which PSU do you have ? Scan your PC for any malware/virus as well. What's the GPU load/usage in IDLE Mode ?

First of all, provide FULL PC specs. Which PSU do you have ? First check whether any cable/wire is not stuck between the GPU fans. Have you properly connected the PCI-E/PEG cables to the GPU from your PSU ?

What's the exact Model number and brand of your R9 290 GPU ? How many fans are there ??

What's the exact Model number and brand of your R9 290 GPU ? How many fans are there ??

I have the asus model of the card with 2 fans and I got the Corsair CX550m

Okay.....Shut down your PC, and take out the GPU from the motherboard's PCI-E slot. Chekc for any dust settled on the fans. Reseat the GPU back on the slot, and connect all the PCIE/PEG cables to the GPU, as applicable.

Well, that's a bummer. Maybe the GPU is dead/faulty then ?

Can you manually spin the fans? Are they stuck?
Is this card one you just bought used, or have you had it for a while?

If the fans arent stuck, and they are properly plugged in, you either need to replace the cooler or the card.

Try running MSI Afterburner as well and see what that shows.

Try creating a custom fan curve to set it at 100% all the time, and see if they spin. Sounds like they've become unplugged or something.....?
