r9 290 low fps on most games , HELP!

Well lets start with my specs
CPU: i7 3770k (not overclocked)
GPU: Sapphire r9 290 tri-x (not-overclocked)
HDD: 500gb green wb
SSD: working on it

Here is the problem i have been testing my new gpu from most games and the fps seems did not
reach what i expected from most games , like skyrim and bound by flames , base on benchmarks and other related reviews about my card , i should be getting 100+ fps or so , but here im only getting 60fps and getting lower when i hit places with more objects to render, i dont understand , please help me with this , really need it or is my cpu bottlenecking my gpu ? sorry for my bad english but thanks in advance mates!

do you have vsync enabled?

if you have a 60hz monitor and vsync on, your fps will never go over 60fps.
