Hi, I purchased an r9 290 to replace my older gtx670 card.
The card I purchased was a xfx r9 290 black oc edition 4gb
My power supply is a seasonic x series 750 watt 80 plus gold
Mother board is gigabyte z77x-ud5h
The problem I am having is there is no display going to the monitors at all. It's just black but it doesn't say no signal like it was unplugged.
The graphics works fine on the integrated graphics.
The gpu lights and fans are all on, so it must be getting power.
I have read other forums and tried suggestions from there.
Things I have tried:
Reseating gpu, ram, all power connectors to motherboard, CPU, and the two 6 pins for the graphics card.
I have tried changing init graphics to peg.
Resetting cmos thru removing battery and other methods that the mother board manual recommends.
Tried other pci e slots.
Different monitors.
Please help.
