Any answer? I'm building my first PC build and probably going with GTX 770 OC2 4gb from PNY, so I was thinking what could make a better value? considering that I'll do alot of gaming and alot of video editing, and which of the two performs better at 4k?

The r9 290 is a stronger card in gaming. The GTX770 has shadowplay which would record gameplay or stream gameplay.

Video editing wise its better to worry about that with the CPU in my opinion.

As for 4k gaming, the r9 290 would do better as it is the stronger card. The GTX770 4gb isn't worth it unless you're a game like skyrim with a bunch of mods and a high ENB or something, and even then the r9 290 would still do it better if its within your price range.

But price isn't similar though, if the r9 290 is similar to the 780 it is indeed a better value for the price. Thanks for your answer my mind is made up now.

Corsair 600Watt Powersupply is all you need. Corsair is probably the most reliable PSU company out there. Every company always exceeds at some hardware part! :)

R9 290...

Has more performance, 512-bit wide memory, so memory bandwidth is more than 780 Ti which helps a lot at high resolutions and/or using lots of AA, esp. MSAA, 4GB memory is also an important thing to consider.

Power consumption is more but worth the performance you get and the price is also good...
