R9 290 pc rebooting

Hello! I recently bought a Gigabyte windforce R9 290.
After installing the catalyst drivers my computer started rebooting.

At first i thought the problem was a faulty PSU since eventvwr showed kernel power errors.
After trying 3 different PSU's, new ram, DDU and a full windows reinstall i found out that the reboots only occured after installing the display drivers. Without them i could have my pc on for 12 hours without a single reboot
Does anyone know a fix for this?

Mmm...you can try previous drivers versions. Although, I would return it for a replacement.

I tried catalyst 1.4.7 last night and i was able to play arma 3 for 20 minutes and bioshock infinite for 40 minutes. With the latest driver i could only play them for ~2 minutes.
Could the problem be a faulty card or a conflict of some sort?

Recently had the same problem with the same card. I tried everything you did, and then decided to RMA the card, which resulted in them sending it back saying there were no issues with it. A few days a go I installed the latest beta drivers (15.3) and have not had a crash since. I'd say give that a shot.

The beta driver fixed the random reboots but made my fps go all over the place.
Not even half-life or oblivion is running with stable 60fps.
Odd.
