R9 290 tri-x vs r9 290x refference?

The Tri x is better standard, however if you plan to cool your GPU using water cooling, or an AIO then go for the reference as it will be cheaper.

Get the Tri-X unless if you want a jet-engine in your computer.

I am not planing to get a water block for this GPU. Do you know if the price will the r9 cards price drop this summer(2 months from now)? 😀

i agree the tri-x is far superior.
Important side note: have they fixed the 'black screen' issue with tri-x that everyone is talking about?
I googled it yesterday and was astounded at the 'black screen' hits. Mostly with tri-x.
They may have fixed though. I was unable to confirm same.

I thought about this option in 3 way CFX, but may just upgrade my mobo and get a third 280x.

The prices for all of the technology stuff always drops in the summer. It is the best time to build a PC. The only way they won't is if the Bitcoin miners come along and destroy the market... again.

And another thing: the r9 290x is more expensive in my country than the 290 tri-x, so it looks like a reasonable price.. but where can I order it from? the prices wont go down in my country(im in Europe) so can I just order from amazon? I never ordered anything from amazon so I dont evenknow if it ships to my country....

yes, and then the warranty too. I would look at that closely as well, given the aforementioned problems.
