R9 290 vs 1050 ti

Hi guys so im going to buy a new gpu amd i dont know if i should buy a old r9 290 or a brand new gtx 1050 ti rog strix. Both for 150

Definitely go with the 1050 ti, it's the better price to performance (unless youre mining cryptocurrency) and can potentially last you longer because of how recently it launched.

The R9 290 is faster than the 1050 Ti, so it's better price to performance.

It does use way more power though, and depending on the card's cooler may or may not get loud when gaming.
