Greetings!

I've got a system with 3 asus r9 290x directcu ii set up for 3 way cross fire. Now, the problem is is that the fans on the top two cards are touching the backplate on the card below them, which causes them not to spin. Ultimately, I'm going to water cool this system, but I was trying to have a bit of a burn in period before voiding the warranties on the various components.

The computer is in a corsair 900d case, on a gigabyte z97 gaming g1 wifi black motherboard.

Any ideas on how I can solve this, again, without voiding the warranty?

Cheers,

Oni

Seeing as it's a temporary solution for a temporary problem I will say Good job!
I wish I could have the same problem as you :)

As for the temporary Ugliness... I think you could paint the Nylon parts ROG Red and it would look more like an asset :)

So after thinking about this for a bit, I decided to go over to Ace Hardware and see if inspiration struck. And it did! Nylon washers. Nylon has a high melting point, around 260 C, which is way more than the cards will put out, and comes in very thin thicknesses, which allowed me to get the spacing just right. The fans are spinning away, and the warranty remains intact.

It's ugly as all get out, but it'll do until I water cool these.
