R9 290x crossfire with different design r9 290x

Hi,
I want to do crossfire with two R9 290xs,
I have a reference 290x with a kracken g10+ liquid cooler on one of them, but no more space for radiators.
I wanted to buy one with a better cooler, could i do this and if so what card should i buy.

From what I understand you are asking if you can crossfire two different models of card with the same chipset, if that is the case than yes if it has the same chip inside it than crossfire will work if I am understanding wrong correct me.
