r9 290x help

Would a r9 290x run in my current build (yes i know i would need to upgrade my psu, sush)
Or would a R9 280x or even a gtx 960 be a better fit. Thanks.

Cpu: amd athlon x4 760k Quad-Core 3.8GHz
Mobo: MSI A78M-E35 FM2+ / FM2 AMD A78
Ram: 2x Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600
Hdd: 1tb wd cavair blue 7200 rpm hdd
Ssd: 256 gb SAMSUNG 850 Pro Series solid state drive
Psu: CORSAIR CX series CX430 430W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Well you will bottleneck an r9 290x with your CPU quite alot.
A GTX 960 would be a better choice however, if you can afford to buy the r9 290x and upgrade your CPU later it will be worth it.
If you're just going to keep it as it is then a GTX 960 would be better.
