Hi,
I just brought all my new parts for my pc I currently have a nvidia gtx 760 graphics card. Is it worth saving up and getting the r9 290x with money from Xmas and birthday. I want to run my pc at default ultra setting in bf4. My specs are
Intel i5 4670k, nvidia gtx 760. 16 fb of ram 3tb hdd 120gb Ssd. Should I save up for the r9 290 x or the 780ti and is this system good enough to run bf4 on default ultra

Solution
Wait until the R9 290x drops into the 575-600$ range before buying one, but yes it's worth it. Also make sure you get a non-reference R9 290x (The ones with 2-3 fans on top of them and not the base fan from AMD) as they are significantly quieter, cooler, can be overclocked more, and have much more stable FPS. Hoping by the end of January they'll be that low of a price, don't spend any more than that, and if they don't drop in price that low, get a 780 Ti.

all amd cards are overpriced because of the mining ...

i do not recommend getting any thing right now ...

nvida making a new generation of cards in march maybe .. wait and see your options

also u you don't need the r9 290x for ultra .. 280x can do it .. also the gtx 780

note that amd cards will get mantle soon ... that increase preformance in games like bf4 .. thats a game you want to play

also the nvida cards got the new technology the with monitors ...
