Hi everyone. I have placed my system specs at the top, so that they are easily accessible for later reference.

So, here are my problems.

Since plugging in my new graphics card (Upgraded from a HD 6850), I have noticed a problem with my cursor. Certain cursors, including the hovering over text cursor, the middle mouse click and drag to scroll, and others have quadrupled in size. This isn't a massive issue, but it leads me to believe that there's definitely a problem here.

Problem number two is about performance. I payed £400 for this card, and to be honest, I don't feel like I'm getting my money's worth. It may be due to certain games not being properly optimised, so I guess you guys can help me understand more. Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag runs pretty badly on max settings, honestly. stuttering and the likes such as fluctuating between 20-60FPS. Battlefield 4 runs alright at max settings, I haven't done an FPS check on it but it seems smooth if not with a bit of microstutter. When I run a system analysis in game, it tells me I should be expecting 17 FPS on ultra settings. Also Call of Duty Ghosts seems to get a good amount of microstutter too.

Other games I can report with:

League of Legends freezing at random intervals for half a second (a lot of time in-game).
BioShock Infinite is running smoothly.
And Skyrim also seems to run fine too, but I haven't done extensive testing on it yet.

So guys, have I bought a weak card? Am I doing something wrong? Am I playing unstable games?
I'm just trying to find a reason not to regret my purchase. Thanks for reading everyone.

BONUS QUESTION: AMD Driver auto-detect cannot detect my card, even though dxdiag, cpu-z and device manager all read it just fine. Is that a known problem?

Yeah, AMD's driver-detect is absolute garbage. It doesn't detect my twin HD 7970s either. Rolli is correct about the drivers. I use AMD's driver cleaning utility to completely remove all my old drivers and then I install the new ones. The driver disc is only for people who don't have internet access. ALWAYS ignore the disc and download the newest non-beta drivers from their website.

How does one find their driver cleaning utility?

Also, I did uninstall CCC through the control panel, if that's the same thing. Clicked uninstall all features etc

BIOS is fully updated, I'd rather not overclock further as I don't know much on the subject, and what is DDU?

http://www.wagnardmobile.com/DDU/

So I've tried all of your suggestions, and after reinstalling multiple times with different methods of uninstall, nothing has changed. I'm getting really frustrated with this cursor problem, as it changes the default cursor to the one with the extended and wonky shaft, it looks awful and just generally bugs me. I'm just about willing to take a step as drastic as doing a full windows re-install, but I really don't want to have to.

One thing I noticed, after using both driver wipers, windows kept automatically installing standard VGA adapter... could that be interfering with something?

Thanks again.

Here's a Razer Game Booster Diagnostics Report, if anyone can make sense/use of this.
