gtx 970 only 3,5gb , but draws less power, and you get all nvidia effects and nvidia drivers are better aswell.

sapphire says r9 290x required power is 750watts, so i advice you to go with the gtx 970

gtx 970 r9 290x

3.5gb vram-4gb vram/290x cheaper/ 970less power needed, less heat 290x runs hotter/ 970 native support for dx 12- 290x dx 12 ready

take your pick. Either way, your psu will handle it

I have the GTX 980 GIGABYTE WF3-OC version, and i'm totally satisfied with it. It has 3 fans and keeps the card really cool, and aswell you have a huge room for overclocking( 300watts tdp) so i advice you to go with gtx 970 gigabyte wf-3oc or g1 gaming, the g1 gaming is the same card as wf-3 but you get a metal blackpate and a led for your money.

If you can fit it go with Gigabyte, otherwise a Strix. you were wondering if it has an LED it does but its just a light on top of the cover nothing special really.
