Will a corsair AX 760 Platinum PSU run a FX 8350 at stock clocks along with an R9 290X TRIX 8GB (non Vapor) in Crossfire? At 1080p....

^this. You don't want to get a power supply that matches exactly how many watts you think you'll consume. You want around 100W if not more of wiggle room. That also gives you a little room for upgrading in the future. Rule of thumb is to never skimp on the power supply.



To help increase FPS I'm playing on a 144hz monitor... And would like to get 144fps. That's only 725w... The PSU is rated for 760
 
There are a few more watts tied up in drives, fans, and the works.
It is still technically within the units rated wattage, but that is counting on the unit to deliver all those watts all the time.

You could possibly squeak by with the Plat certification, personally I would aim for at least 850.
