R9 290X Vs R9 390

Hello guys, yesterday I bought my new graphics card. I went with the R9 390 and got a very good deal, getting it pretty much brand new (light use) for £190. I have however done a little more research and some are saying the 290X performs better? The 290X would have cost me £200 but £10 is not a lot at all so I wouldn't mind going with the 290X if it does offer better performance. I will be gaming at 1080p in games like GTA V, Call of Duty Black Ops III, etc. Any help is appreciated, thank you very much.

A 390 and a 290x are pretty much trading blows-you will not see much of a difference, if any, between the two. I'd personally stick with the 390 as even though the 8gb vram is a massive overkill its nice to have.
