I was experimenting with an aftermarket cooler alternative for my r9 290x vaporx 4gb. Did not like the results, my VRM Temps skyrocketed. I went back and installed the original cooler back on the card and now I can't get my machine to POST with the 290x installed. Debug code 62 on my motherboard is displayed: "Installation of the PCH runtime services". The fans on the card spin and the LEDs all come on, all outward signs of the card are fine, but my machine will not boot/display video.
I've tried booting with no video cables plugged into the card, same results.
Removing my gpu and everything boots fine, so it's clearly the card. Is it toast, or are there more troubleshooting steps I can take to try to narrow down the issue?
