295 x2 is such a waste of money when compared to a gtx 980 please do some reasearch before you waste that much cash.

Unless you need a room heater then the 295x2 is the best!

well crossfire 290s need AT BARE MINIMUM a 850 psu so, 1200 will be best for you personally... The higher the better really, and i imagine you can, from what i have read... as the 295x is basically 2x 290x's on one pcb, and you can run a 290x with a 290 in crossfire, it just downclocks it, so yeah you can, but really its a waste... AND triple CF dosent scale at all nicely

so you would not recomend it? tiger direct has the 295x on for 850 right now and im so tempted to buy it. so would you recomend just staying how i am for a least a year till 4k becomes a bigger thing. or should i just upgrade to the 295x at that good of a price?
